Idriss Dermatology Redesign — 2024
Dr. Sheren Idriss, an expert in modern cosmetic treatments, specializes in facial aesthetics, rejuvenation, and minimally invasive body lifting techniques.
This project was completed as part of my internship at Same Same Studio.
— The primary goal of this project was to redesign the existing website, incorporating new information and adapting the design to accommodate updated textual content. We created new components for the site, such as those in the Treatments section.
— My responsibility included developing new design directions and, under the guidance of the Senior Designer, crafting a new website layout. The redesign adhered to Idriss Dermatology's existing branding and design guidelines.

Problem Statement
Based on the Idriss Dermatology website, several UI/UX issues are evident.
— Mobile responsiveness is lacking, with elements not properly resizing or rearranging on smaller screens.
— Accessibility is compromised due to the absence of alt text for images, insufficient color contrast, and limited keyboard navigation support.
— Content clarity is affected by text-heavy sections that need more visual aids and structured formatting.
— Interactive elements, such as forms and buttons, lack visual feedback.

Solution
In redesigning the Idriss Dermatology website, we addressed several key UI/UX issues to enhance user experience and functionality.
— We optimized the site for mobile, ensuring elements resize and rearrange seamlessly on smaller screens.
— Content clarity was improved by simplifying text-heavy sections with bullet points, headings, and visuals.
— Interactive elements were given visual feedback to enhance user experience.
— The navigation menu was simplified to be intuitive, making it easier for users to find information. Prominent CTAs like "Book Now" and "Sign Up" were strategically placed to encourage interaction. We optimized the site for mobile, ensuring elements resize and rearrange seamlessly on smaller screens.

The process for creating the new Idriss Dermatology website began with a thorough analysis of the existing site to identify key UI/UX issues. Next, we moved on to wireframing with concideration of target audience, and client design preferences. My role was to make the user flow of the layout and structure of the website to ensure intuitive navigation and user flow. Interactive elements were refined for better user feedback, and consistent typography was ensured for a cohesive look. Finally, we conducted thorough testing to identify and resolve any remaining issues before launching the new site.
